Megan Wagner-Flynn, Program Officer and Grants Manager
Megan joined The Gifford Foundation in July of 2015 as the Grants Manager/Program Associate, and was promoted to Program Officer in October 2017. Megan works as a part of the grant making team to build a community that celebrates its diversity, that promotes a dynamic culture and that provides for the needs of its members. Through her oversight of the grants management system, Megan serves as a key point of contact for grant seekers.
Megan serves on the Community Impact Committee at the United Way of Central New York. She sits on the steering committee for the “Power on Summer Learning,” a project of the Literacy Coalition. She also serves on the Pregnancy and Parenting Committees of the Early Childhood Alliance and on event coordination committees with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Museum of Science and Technology. Megan was active on the planning committee for the 2017 New York State Funders Conference.
Prior to joining The Gifford Foundation Megan worked in fundraising, fund development and grant writing as the Development Coordinator for Community Action Partnership for Madison County. She previously worked with homeless and runaway teenagers at The Center for Youth in Rochester, NY. Megan has interned with Make-A-Wish Central New York and Justice for Children, a child advocacy agency in Batavia, NY.
Megan is a 2012 graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a degree in Sociology and a focus in child and family development. A Central New York native, Megan enjoys travel, being in nature and spending time with her family.
