Executive Director Dirk Sonneborn Announces Retirement

The Board of Trustees of the Gifford Foundation announced that Executive Director Dirk Sonneborn will retire at the end of 2018. Sonneborn has served the organization since 2009, first as Director of Operations, later as Associate Director, and since January 2011 as its Executive Director. During his tenure as Executive Director the Foundation has made grants in excess of $5.5 million focused on neighborhoods, leadership development and not-for-profit capacity building in Central New York.
